Pretty easy

I made this and ran into no trouble. It's a pretty easy recipe to make.

However: 1. it took me way longer than expected, more like 4 hours or more. 2. (related) this is a lot of vegetables. It took me several ovensful to roast all the peppers, and I needed to put 2 tins in the oven at the same time to roast the vegetables at the end (which worked fine). I had 2 big bowls of vegetables, which reduced down to 1 bowl.

But it tasted great! Everyone loved it.

No spice mill

Is it possible to grind the spices using a mortar and pestle if you don't have a spice mill?

Greek Seasoning

Another disadvantage of ingredients such as 'Greek Seasoning' is that these things tend to be very local. I have no idea what Greek seasoning is, or what the equivalent might be here in Europe (ironic since it's so much closer to Greece...).

Goose

I assume brining, putting butter under the skin etc. would work equally well with a goose?

Fresh yeast?

How would one use fresh yeast in this recipe? That's what I normally use for pizza dough, but without sugar.

Measurements

By the way it is also quite hard to find measuring cups that measure, ah, cups in Europe :) But I managed. I second the metric / imperial proposal. Ideally I could switch it in my settings, at least for the printed recipe.

I wonder how one could handle measuring by weight vs by volume, though.

Measurements

"Generally, liquids should be measured by volume and solids should be measured by weight."

I agree, but many North American recipes (including this pizza dough recipe) measure flour by volume.

Made these cookies

They turned out pretty good. Crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside.

Notes:
- I had trouble folding in the chips, I will use 1.5 cups next time.
- The dough was slightly less smooth than in the video, might be the size of the eggs.
- I had to bake them for over 15 minutes.

Dough

Funny, I just made this last week using a recipe from Sherry Yard. I didn't add a glaze.

I had a lot of trouble making a dough that actually stuck together and could be lifted and moved without simply breaking up. In the end, I just moved it to the pie form bit by bit, Playdoh-style.
